RC Updates
Summary of swing 11/17 - day 11/18
- RF cavity issue after noon, so Gordon took this opportunity to access the hall to optimize oven temperature => variac tripped => hall access continued for manual adjustment (hall back to beam permit around 5 pm) https://logbooks.jlab.org/entry/4086166
- Continued Moller measurement, changed HWP-IN=>HWP-OUT, and completed measurement about 9:30pm after(Polarization HWPIN: 86.54 +/- 0.17 % and HWPOUT: -87.08 +/- 0.18 %). Large uncertainty on C20 vertical corrector during Moller measurement https://logbooks.jlab.org/entry/4086155
- Mini spin dance was cancelled due to timing (injector people could not support the dance after 9 pm, PD informed us the cancellation)
- Issue with RF when we were ready for harp scans before going to production run
- Beam back around 1:30 am and MCC took ~3 hrs to provide acceptable beam (followed the beam recovery procedure)
- Target polarization just before production run ~49.3% around 5 am
- Beam current increased in steps and BBCAL HI rates compared to get to 45uA on He3 target
- Everything looked good, so continued production run with polarized He3 target @45uA current
- Some DAQ issue in this morning, Alex was called to fix the issue (suspicion: interference of standalone DAQ for GEM to main DAQ)
Short term run plan
- Continue production data taking on polarized He3
- 45uA of beam current | Use ps3=0, ps5=3, ps2=15, rest =-1 | One hour long runs
- Move the target to the pickup coil position, and do NMR sweep around every 3 hours
- Return to step 1
Issues
- Dump right Ion chamber cabling needs to be changed (Jerry Kowal is aware of this)
No RC meeting on Saturday and Sunday
