Summary
Tuesday Day (01/24). MCC was doing beam studies, the beam was taken away at 8:30 am. The hall went to Controlled Access. Sean was working in the hall on GEMs (https://logbooks.jlab.org/entry/4116336 and https://logbooks.jlab.org/entry/4116390). There was also a walkthrough.
Bill made some changes to the Target Holding field (https://logbooks.jlab.org/entry/4116268). See also Bill's logentry regarding side effects of rebooting target IOC (https://logbooks.jlab.org/entry/4116382).
Ralph made some adjustment to Hodoscope HV (https://logbooks.jlab.org/entry/4116332).
Charge asymmetry measurements from Paul (https://logbooks.jlab.org/entry/4116242).
At around 1pm the hall went to Beam Permit and at 2pm the beam restoration started.
Tuesday Swing (01/24). The restoration of production beam to the hall took longer than expected as the accelerator had to make adjustments after the beam studies. The final beam checkout was complete around 11pm, after which production running resumed. Swing Shift summary (https://logbooks.jlab.org/entry/4116519).
Wednesday Owl (01/25). Taking production data at 45 uA with a couple of DAQ alarms, which were fixed by ROC power-cycling (https://logbooks.jlab.org/entry/4116833). After 5am beam became unstable. Owl Shift Summary (https://logbooks.jlab.org/entry/4116939).
Wednesday Day (01/25). There was no beam at the beginning of the shift, so we did EPR calibrations. We plan to continue production running at 45 uA once MCC resolves their difficulties in beam delivery.
Run plan
- Continue production on pol He3 cell at 45 uA.
- Moller Measurement? January 30 is a new scheduled date for the Wien angle change because Hall B will not start running until then.
