Minutes
- correspondence between energy in HCal and sampling energy - use elastics to calibrate HCal
- Andrew previously showed some issues with HCal [1]
- should sampling fraction be set up at 1? From simulation, we get this 10% value
- We have no H2 with magnet off
- We have clean tracks
- more plots to show track quality would be good - v_z from SBS would be nice to see
- W^2 would also be useful
- resolution is down to 40% as expected from this detector
- If HCal HV is the same then theoretically the gain coefficients can stay the same
- make sure to track HV changes and make sure the calibrations are corrected each time
- check with Jiwan to see when HV was changed
- if there is a small change in HV there may not be enough data to properly correct for this small change
- we need more cross checks for this
- He3 data can help with this
- W^2 plot shows that QE events are currently barely visible, so we need more optimized cuts and calibrations
General Notes:
- We need to get QE peak looking more clear
- Continue to work on timing calibration
- pick a "master" block to align all the other blocks to
- what is the time resolution of an individual block on HCal? ~1ns?
- should we exclude all W^2 < 0?
- include a E/p cut?
