Upcoming Shifts Which Need Filled

Urgent issue: about 200 shifts on GMn run after the winter break shutdown need to be filled.

Today's estimate for January start: Tune beam Tue. Jan 11, "Bonus beam" Jan 12-16.

Official physics start on Jan 17.

Accelerator and Hall Status

• steady production for GMn SBS-11 kinematics
• End of beam: Tue. Dec. 21 at 7:00 AM

Run Plan

• Continue "cycles"

• Currently LD2 for "Cycle 20"

• Continue following cycle pattern and ticking off runs-completed on paper copy at SL desk

Unresolved Issues

• Shift takers for the January-February run.
• DAQ procedures for reboot
  • Occasional timing shifts of ~70 ns  !
• Replay of the all data

• List of DAQ experts "on call"
  • why the BBcal rate is up from 2.5kHz to 3 kHz at the same HV and threshold?
  • why DAQ dead time is lower than was a few days before?
• DAQ typical problem is related to MPD

• Issue of loosing sectors in the UV GEMs.

Subsystem Updates

1. HCal
1. F1 errors (HCal sync errors)... Don't ignore!! End, Reset(twice?), Configure, Download. If that doesn't work, call per list on white board. One happened last night.
2. Correlation plot of HCal ADC time and HCal TDC gives clear sign of 70 ns shift in either ADC or TDC - pay attention.
