RC Report
- After inserting the sieve into place (https://logbooks.jlab.org/entry/3981120) during early swing shift, we were able to successfully complete our optics program for this kinematic setting. With MCCs escorted access help (https://logbooks.jlab.org/entry/3981263), the sieve was removed and we continued with production running on LH2 and LD2. We had a rather smooth night of data taking during the owl shift. Early this morning, we were told that Hall A would have a brief beam interruption (~1hr) due to 2 pass separator phase drift work. In the meantime, we experienced quite a few trips due to SBS magnet spiking (https://logbooks.jlab.org/entry/3981601, https://logbooks.jlab.org/entry/3981570, https://logbooks.jlab.org/entry/3981575) and the FSD readout trips limits were adjusted after David Flay spoke with MCC. Currently, we are continuing with our production running with 100M LD2 and 20M LH2 cycles and 2hr long runs (instead of 1hr) and an occasional dummy target run.
Upcoming Shifts Which Need To Be Filled
- Monday, Feb 7th Owl SL
Accelerator and Hall Status
- 2nd pass separator work at 9:00 AM (1 hr down time)
Run Plan
- SBS-9: cycles of LD2 and LH2 (50M & 10M changed to 100M and 20M to save time between target changes)
To do
- BCM calibrations - Friday day shift (David Flay available for questions)
Resolved Issues
Unresolved Issues
- Reported issues with SBS magnet current spikes https://logbooks.jlab.org/entry/3978802
Subsystem Updates
- Correct HV files were uploaded and BBCALDISC thresholds adjusted accordingly to get a manageable rate for the optics run.
- All settings optimized for production running.
- Pedestal run taken during an opportunistic beam down time during which the sieve slit installation was also accomplished.
