Current Accelerator andHall Status
- We are running production on He3 target at the moment of this log entry
- Only Hall A and D are running at the moment
PolHe3 Target
- Target Cells installation was completed yesterday around 2 PM.
- We finished Hall Sweep and went to Beam permit yesterday around 5 PM.
- After Hall closed up, Gordon and Hunter performed an initial target test with target cell Hunter. One NMR measurement for Polarization from the OWL shift is around 36.7% (rough). Please see a nice log by Gordon summarizing the target test: [2] and also the screenshot for polarization: [3]
Beam Status
- In short, beam restoration completed - Thanks to Bill, Jiwan, and Mark!

- Ion chamber calibration in He3 cell completed.
- At present, beam current was suggested to be max at 20 uA
Current Run Plan
For Friday SWING to MONDAY OWL we will be focusing on polarized helium-3 production.
- Question for target group: How long would you like to continue taking NMR measurements every ~2 hours?
Run Plan 1) Resume production run on He3 target 2) Gordon mentioned an EPR measurement during the day shift 3) Have experts check on 50K replay
Current Issues
- BB Hodoscope: channel 0R - 15R missing in the 50K replay
- Pre-scale factors, only coin and Grinch pulser trigger are enabled at the time of this log
