Gordon's talk:

• pions on HCal - can we distinguish from neutron events?
  • what evidence do we have for these events?
  • can we use the SBS GEMs?
  • some fraction of boosted nucleon events will lead to a pion hitting HCal
  • goal: identify inelastic background as inelastic and remove
  • what fraction of results would come from both nucleon and pion hitting HCal?
  • Bogdan: separation is on the scale of 1m
  • maybe utilize simulation for an estimate?

Sean's talk:

• bad vs good timing cut
  • 5 or 3 sigma cut outside of peak is bad
• slide 8 should be "Pion Difference"
• f_inel = f_bkg - f_acc - f_N2 - f_pi
• accidentals: passes all cuts except it happens to fall in the timing window and are not quasi-elastic electron-neutron events
