Summary
The beam delivery was good overnight. We were smoothly taking data without interruptions (apart from a few DAQ issues).
Our plan is to continue taking production data on LD2 with BBCal threshold -350 mV and HCal threshold -10 mV at 10 uA. We also need to take a 1-hour run on LH2 with the production settings once per shift.
Accelerator plans to take about an hour of downtime today to recover a few cavities.

We will have our daily 3:30 pm RC meeting on the 2nd floor of the counting house and on zoom.
Planned Access to the Hall
On Wednesday (05/01) we plan to put the Hall in Restricted access during the Maintenance day. This is to bring in a large enclosure for the ECal for doing some cosmic test and also to bring out some material to be used in making the Gep SBS GEM detector.
Work planned in the Hall for Wednesday (05/01):
- GEM work (Holly).
- Hodoscope discriminator replacement (Bill Henry).
- Heidi wants to go to the Hall.
Accelerator
- Accelerator plans to take about an hour of downtime today to recover a few cavities.
- Wednesday (05/01) will be the maintenance day. MCC plans to take the beam away at 6:45 am to start working on SL.
Current Run Plan
We did a few tests over the weekend to better understand changes in the inclusive elastic yield depending on the BBCal and HCal thresholds. Based on these studies, we set the BBCal threshold at -350 mV and HCal threshold at -10 mV for now. The beam current is 10 uA for production on LD2.
We also need to take a 1-hour run on LH2 with the production settings once per shift. Starting from today we decided to increase current up to 20 uA for LH2 runs (we still want 10 for LD2 data).
- Thursday (04/25) HCal threshold studies (https://logbooks.jlab.org/entry/4288910).
- Friday (04/26) BB singles (https://logbooks.jlab.org/entry/4289712). See Andrew Puckett's study (https://logbooks.jlab.org/entry/4290174).
- Saturday (04/27) BBCal threshold test (see https://logbooks.jlab.org/entry/4290231 and https://logbooks.jlab.org/entry/4290326). See Andrew Puckett's study (https://logbooks.jlab.org/entry/4290654).

Current Issues
- Today (04/29) Bill Henry updated the pedestals for the FADCs in the grinch crate for the rp hodoscope and the active analyzer (https://logbooks.jlab.org/entry/4292011). He also noticed an issue with some hodoscope channels which may point to a bad discriminator (https://logbooks.jlab.org/entry/4292037).
- On Sunday (04/28) downstairs HallA air monitoring alarm started alarming (ODH alarm). This does not affect the beam delivery and RadCon plans to look into it on Monday (https://logbooks.jlab.org/entry/4290926).
- On Saturday (04/27) Bill Henry turned off a few pmts in the active analyzer because they were noisy (see https://logbooks.jlab.org/entry/4290526 and https://logbooks.jlab.org/entry/4290718). He continued working on this on Sunday, too (https://logbooks.jlab.org/entry/4291061).
- On Fri Swing and Sat Owl Vimukthi and the GEM group adjusted high voltages for three SBS GEM modules. This was done with the intention of increasing the efficiency of those modules (https://logbooks.jlab.org/entry/4289667 and https://logbooks.jlab.org/entry/4290293).
Future plans
- Wednesday (05/01) will be the maintenance day. MCC plans to take the beam away at 6:45 am to start working on SL.

- MCC does not plan any major beam changes up until May 14th.
