Accelerator and Hall Status

  • Preparation for beam start
  • Beam tune to Hall A on Tuesday owl, may be even Monday swing

To be Done During Remaining Down Time

  • The Hall will remain open until 3pm on Monday,
    at which time we will be locking up in preparation for the run.
    • Cosmic test of all four layers GEM in BB package
    • Test spectrometers power
    • Study of GRINCH
    • Prepare the LD2/LH2 targets

    Run Plan

    • Tuesday beam Hall A for physics
    • Calibrations of BB optics for SBS-14
    • Production according to the SBS-14 plan

    Resolved Issues

    • Installation of the UV GEM #4
    • Spectrometer move to SBS-14
    • Shifts for the week January 10-14

    Unresolved Issues

    • NEW: HCAL ROC17 ERROR for last 12+ hours
    • Occasional timing shifts of ~70 ns
    • GEM efficiency analysis.

      1. Alex update. Statistics of DAQ reboots.
    2. HCal
      1. F1 errors (HCal ROC17 sync errors)... Don't ignore!! End, Reset, Configure, Download. If that doesn't work, call DAQ on call.
      2. Could 50k replay show a problem FLAG?
      3. News on time resolution and amplitude analysis.
    3. BBCal
      1. Lesson from BBcal HV loss for few hours on Friday. Update on monitoring/reboot methods.
