Accelerator
- Stable beam to hall for last Swing and Owl shifts
- Accelerator is down to mitigate induced halo issue in Hall B caused by Hall A bleed through
- Expected down time 2-3 hours
- Wednesday: No beam after 7:00 AM, accelerator work/maintenance
Hall-A
- All subsystem are working as expected.
- Taking data at 10uA, so far 50 events.
- Rate~3.4kHz, live time 100% (CoinMatch)
Status of Hall
- Locked for accelerator/beam extraction
Updates on Subsystems
- ECal:
- HCal:
- GEMS:FT L1
- CDET:
- DAQ:
- Analysis Software
Access request Today
- GEM: Escorted access
Items to keep an eye
- Target chamber pressure (Lawrence is looking at a spare turbo pump, we might get one from Hall-B): Old
- SBS magnet current stability/overheating test: Plane dropped
Shifts
- Few trade requests and empty slots until July 1st.
* June, 7: TO * June, 20: TO * June, 21: TO
Run plan when MCC sends beam back
- Follow beam restoration procedure to the Hall
- Short run plan
* 10uA beam until next decision
- For higher current up to 50 uA, MCC needs to be notified a few days early
Beam Restoration Procedure
- Use new "cross target" (1x1 mm "+" shape) for beam restoration as described in https://sbs.jlab.org/wiki/index.php/HOW_TOs#Beam_Recovery_Procedure_for_GEp
Beam requirements
- start off at 5 pass beam
- intrinsic beam size (at target): 150–500 µm (<600 µ m is also acceptable)
- raster size: 2 mm X 2 mm
- During kin#3 SBS magnet will be at 1762.23 Amp, the corrector magnets at -80A for all.
- production run @ 5-10 µA for now
- For later
- production beam current : 50 µA
